On October 15, 2026, the High Court of Delhi notified an amendment to Volume IV, Chapter 12-B, Rule 5, clause (iii) of the Punjab High Court Rules and Orders as applicable in the Courts of NCT of Delhi. The amendment substitutes the words “Rupees twenty” with “Rupees fifty” with effect from the date of its publication in the Gazette.

The Senior Advocate Secretariat of the High Court of Delhi has invited suggestions or views regarding the proposal for conferment of designation as Senior Advocate to Mr. Pawan Kumar Jain, DHJS Officer (Retired). The Delhi High Court Bar Association has passed a resolution condemning the detention of lawyers and excessive force used by police during a protest on 10.10.2026 against Chief Election Commissioner Shri Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The Association calls upon concerned authorities to conduct an impartial inquiry and fix accountability.
