The Executive Committee of the Delhi High Court Bar Association unanimously resolved on 16.07.2026 to suspend its call for abstention from work, following a meeting with the Union Law Minister and a request from the Chief Justice, Delhi High Court.

The Advance Cause List for 14.07.2026 details proceedings for Court No. 01, Division Bench – I, with Hon’ble The Chief Justice and Hon’ble Dr. Justice Tushar Karia, and includes specific instructions for counsel appearing virtually.

Members are requested to abstain from appearing, both physically and virtually, before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi on 16.07.2026. This follows the Delhi High Court Bar Association’s resolution to continue abstention from work, opposing the enhancement of pecuniary jurisdiction of District Courts.

Members are informed that the Executive Committee of the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) unanimously resolved on 13.07.2026 to abstain from work on 14.07.2026. This resolution addresses the proposed enhancement of pecuniary jurisdiction for Delhi District Courts.

The International Bar Association (IBA) announced its IBA 2026 Annual Conference in Copenhagen from 4-9 October. Lawyers in India are eligible for a 40 per cent discount on the standard delegate fee if registered before 10 July 2026.

Members are informed that the DHCBA Executive Committee reiterates its decision to abstain from work on 04.07.2026 before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi. A list of proxy counsels is provided, who are requested to report at the Bar Office by 09:30 Am.

Members are informed that vehicles without valid stickers of the year 2026 will not be allowed to enter the Delhi High Court premises with effect from 15.07.2026. Members are requested to clear arrears of dues and collect their car stickers from the office of the DHCBA.

Members are informed that the Delhi High Court Crèche facility shall remain available from 01st June, 2026 (Monday) to 30th June, 2026 (Tuesday), between 09:30 am to 06:00 pm, only during the ensuing summer vacations.

Members are informed that the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi has invited volunteers for training on safe evacuation during emergencies. Interested members may furnish their details with the office of the Delhi High Court Bar Association.
