The Executive Committee of DHCBA has decided to contribute Rs. 25 Lakhs towards the construction of a night shelter at AIIMS New Delhi. Members of the Bar are requested to be present for the cheque presentation to the Director, AIIMS, on 25.09.2026 at 5:30 PM in Bar Room No. 18.

Members are informed that the DHCBA Badminton Tournament 2026 will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Justice, High Court of Delhi, on 25.09.2026 at 5:45 PM at the Badminton Court at LCB-I, Delhi High Court. The tournament will be conducted indoors on 26.09.2026 and 27.09.2026 at Squash & Badminton Stadium (SBS) located on Siri Fort Road.

The Delhi High Court Bar Association condemns the action of the Uttar Pradesh Police in registering FIR No. 0421/2026 against member Sh. Kaif Hasan, Advocate, for a tweet regarding proceedings in the Allahabad High Court.

Members are informed that 11.09.2026 has been declared as a holiday in the Delhi High Court, and 11.09.2026 and 12.09.2026 in District Courts on the occasion of the BRICS Summit 2026. Compensatory court sittings are scheduled for 03.10.2026, 10.10.2026, and 14.11.2026, with cases deferred to 14.09.2026.

Members are informed that a get-together will be organized on 09.09.2026 at 12:30pm in the Main Lawyers Cafeteria, followed by a Farewell Reference by the Full Court on 10.09.26 at 3:00 pm in Court Room No. 1 to bid farewell to Hon’ble Mr. Justice V. Kameswar Rao.

Members are informed that an ‘Above 50’ category has been added to the Badminton Tournament 2026, and the entry form has been amended accordingly. Interested members are welcome to participate in the newly added category.

The High Court of Delhi circulated several circulars on September 2 and 3, 2026, concerning procedural timelines for judgments, communication of bail orders, and amendments to court rules. These updates include guidelines on appointing commissioners, recording adverse remarks against judicial officers, and keeping certain process fee notifications in abeyance.

Members are informed that the Badminton Tournament DHCBA-2026 will be held at the Badminton Court of Chamber Block-I, Delhi High Court. Interested participants must submit their entry forms and fees to the DHCBA office by September 15, 2026, till 5:00 PM.

The Executive Committee of the Delhi High Court Bar Association felicitated Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva on his appointment as the Judge of Supreme Court of India. The ceremony was held on 10.08.2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Lobby of A-Block, Main Court Building.

Members are informed that the fee for issuance of an Intern Card is fixed at Rs. 100/- each for a maximum period of three months, effective from 22/09/2025. The period for which the card is desired must be mentioned in the recommendation letter.
