Dear Esteemed Members
The Delhi High Court Bar Association is grateful to each of its donors to have generously supported the flood relief effort for Punjab and other states. The contributions are being received in the DHCBA National Calamity Relief Fund. In pursuance of the effort DHCBA has adopted Village Kamirpura , District Ajnala to rehabilitate . We inform everyone that the place is approachable from Amritsar ,located about 20 kms from there, on the banks of River Ravi. The river in spate submerged 108 acres of arable land in a mountain of debris, depriving the farmers and peasants of their livelihood. As an ongoing measure it is proposed to clear the debris and attempt to revive their source of income. A team comprising
of L.S.Bindra , Appu Singh and Prateek Bhalla was sent to assess the damage on the ground . A detailed report is being prepared. The Sarpanch of the village and the villagers are hopeful and desirous of the initiative.
Moreover some of the houses of the village have suffered severe damage besides witnessing shortages of household needs. The initiative will try and address these requirements with the continuing empathy and support of all of you. We from the Association thank each of its benefactors in responding to its call . To ensure transparency we hereby publish the list of donors and the support received as of date. Also enclosed are a few videos of the ground situation and a letter from the Sarpanch expressing his consent for the initiative.

Warm regards
